Steve Johnson, ISU Extension and Outreach Farm Management Specialist will be the speaker at Women, Land and Legacy event held on March 23. This event is titled, “Developing Strategies and Tools: Building a Crop Marketing Plan.”

Women Managing Crops is a four week session course designed for women of all ages and experience levels who want to know more about key agronomic decisions for corn and soybean production the sessions take a seasonal approach and cover decision making for pre-planting, the growing phase and harvest.

This program will be held on Tuesday’s from 9 am to noon starting March 21 and continuing until April 11 at Immaculate Conception Parish Center at 305 North Cameron Street in Graettinger. A light meal will be served at noon. The registration fee is $50.

The Finances of Caregiving provides materials to assist caregivers in protecting their assets and prepare for their retirement while providing care. This five-week program, beginning September 1, will meet Thursdays at the Estherville Public Library  from 6:00 – 7:30 PM.  A $20 registreation fee covers the cost of a binder and printed materials.

Powerful Tools for Caregivers is an educational series designed to provide tools you need to take care of yourself.  If you take good care of yourself, you will be better prepared to take good care of your loved one.

On Monday, February 22 a group of women in agriculture gathered at Iowa Lakes Community College to network and to hear the featured speaker, FarmHer, Marji Guyler-Alaniz.

  • Images and information on a wide range of common pest and non-pest insects encountered in the home, yard and garden.

  • Information on Pesticide Applicator Training, Integrated Pest Management, and related environmental programs.
