Local facilitators have been trained to teach Juntos-Together for a Better Education. The Juntos program brings together parents, middle school youth, school staff, and community partners to promote high school graduation and explore paths to higher education.
The 2015 Emmet County 4-H Clover Knowledge Escapade, communications contest, was held on Sunday, March 29th at the United Methodist Church in Estherville. Communication skills are very important to the 4-H program and are commonly credited by 4-H alumni as being one of the best things that 4-H taught them. Participants in 5th grade and up were eligible to be selected to advance on to exhibit in the state communications event at the Iowa State Fair. Youth in 4th grade and up were eligible to be selected to advance on to exhibit in the district communication event at the Clay County Fair.
