Emmet County Leadership 2014

Registrations are currently being accepted for Emmet County Leadership 2014, a program designed to maximize the strengths and skills of current and future community leaders.
Emmet County Leadership 2014 will include five weekly training sessions focusing on topics that include understanding ourselves and others, dealing with controversy and conflict, diversity and cultural understanding, and leading development in the community. The sessions will be held from 2 to 4:30 p.m. on five consecutive Tuesdays, beginning September 30, in Estherville. Sessions will be taught by ISU Extension and Outreach community and economic development program specialists.
The program is being sponsored by Emmet County Extension, Emmet County Community Foundation, Bank Plus, Northstar Bank, and Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative.
Registration is $75 through September 19, with a portion of that refundable if the participant attends all five sessions. For registration after September 19, the fee will be $100.  Enrollment is limited to 30 participants, so sign up early to reserve your spot in the class.
Newly-elected and appointed officials are encouraged to register for the program, as well as long-time leaders interested in polishing their skills, and individuals interested in getting more involved in their community.
