Emmet County Clover Kids

Clover Kids starts a new year now!

Clover Kids is an Iowa Youth Development Program that the Iowa State University Extension Service of Emmet County is providing to Kindergarten through 3rd grade kids from January—April in 2014. The program is organized by Kristin Buum, Emmet County Clover Kids Coordinator and Marcy Sander, Emmet County Youth Coordinator. Kristin will lead the program sessions, along with Junior High & High School age 4-H members from Emmet County. We also rely on the help of parent volunteers. This program is separate from the 4-H club program and is for pre-4-H age kids.
This year we will have three different location options for Clover Kids to make it more convenient for kids to attend and to fit into families’ schedules better. As a bonus, at each session the kids will make something that they can save to bring to the 2014 Emmet County Fair. The Clover Kids members will meet for a pizza party at the fair, at which time they will pick one project of those they bring to be positively evaluated and given a special ribbon. These projects will be on display throughout the fair for everyone to see in the Clover Kids’ booth! Your paid registration also includes a special CLOVER KIDS T-SHIRT that you will receive at the first or second session to wear to the following sessions and at the fair! The cost to participate in Clover Kids this year is just $20 (thanks to partial funding through an Emmet County Community Foundation Grant), which includes sessions in January, February, March, April, and one at the fair on July 24th. Registrations are due by January 3rd!
