The training offered on May 26 is “Growing in the Garden” and will be facilitated by Nancy Clark, ISU Extension and Outreach Nutrition and Wellness Specialist at Immanuel Lutheran Church 406 N 6th Street in Estherville. Training will be held from 6:30-8:30 pm.

The 2016 4-H Clover Knowledge Escapade (communication showcase) took place on Sunday, April 17th at 2:00 p.m. held at Immanuel Lutheran Church.  At this event Emmet County 4-H’ers get to try their hand at presenting by participating in: Extemporaneous Speaking, Educational Presentations, Share-The-Fun acts and Working Exhibits.

Weigh-In—Pens of three and individual market sheep & meat goats need to be weighed in at the Emmet County Fairgrounds on Saturday, May 7th. Weigh-in will be held 9:00 and 10:00am.

This year Emmet County celebrates 100 years of organized county extension work. This long-established partnership with Iowa State University provides local citizens with access to education and university research across a wide range of disciplines and issues. In 1916, Emmet County farmers and Iowa State established the basis for this partnership that extends Iowa’s land grant university throughout the state.
