Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach in Northwest Iowa is preparing to deliver what the World Health Organization names as its “number 1” most effective program for decreasing the onset of drugs and alcohol problems in youth. The program runs every Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the ELC Middle School starting October 5- November 16.

Now is the time to enroll your family in the Strengthening Families Program. Estherville Lincoln Central Community School sixth-graders and their parents are invited to enroll in this free, program which consists of attending two-hour classes. During the weekly classes, the first hour consists of the parents and children working with separate facilitators and the second hour working with each other to discuss and practice what they have learned.
