Seventeen women successfully completed thesix-week Annie’s Project course that was offered this spring in Armstrong. . This program offered through Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in Emmet and Palo Alto counties empowers women to be better agricultural business partners and owners.

The 2015 Emmet County 4-H Clover Knowledge Escapade, communications contest, was held on Sunday, March 29th at the United Methodist Church in Estherville.  Communication skills are very important to the 4-H program and are commonly credited by 4-H alumni as being one of the best things that 4-H taught them.  Participants in 5th grade and up were eligible to be selected to advance on to exhibit in the state communications event at the Iowa State Fair.  Youth in 4th grade and up were eligible to be selected to advance on to exhibit in the district communication event at the Clay County Fair.

Con una serie de cuatro semanas de clases gratuitas que brindarán dietistas del Departamento de Extensión y Difusión de la Universidad del Estado de Iowa, las familias latinas aprenderán cómo mejorar su salud y estar en forma. Las clases del programa "Latinos Living Well" (latinos que viven bien) se llevarán a cabo el Los domingos, 12, 19, 26 de abril y 3 de mayo, de 3:30 pm a 5:30 pm, en Inglesia de United Methodist, Estherville.

English-Latino families will learn how to improve their health and stay fit during a four-week series of free classes offered by dietitians from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. Latinos Living Well classes will be held April 12, 19, 26 and May 3 from 3:30 to 5:30 pm at the United Methodist Church in Estherville.
