4-H Robotics Camp
June 5, 2014

Imagine It, Build It and Watch It Go!This adventure will have you creating and programming cool robots out of Legos on your first day. Join us for a five day or three day camp on how to build and  program  Robots. Learn to use sensors and build and program your robot to meet a series of challenges. Become an expert Programmer and Builder for FIRST Lego League or just have fun learning to work with robotics.  Workshops will run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. each day.  5 day camp in Council Bluffs is June 9 - June 13 and the 3 day camp is June 24 - June 26.  Get your registration, medical release and payment in soon!

Southwest Iowa will be hosting a 4-H Shooting Sports Instructor Training Saturday, August 23 & Sunday, August 24, 2014 in Clarinda, Iowa. We will be offering Training in Archery, Rifle, Shotgun, Muzzleloader, Wildlife Skills and County 4-H SESS Coordinator. Deadline for Registration is August 15!

4H Intermediates LOCK OUT: Ticket To Survive

Time to make plans to attend the 4-H Intermediate Lock-Out from 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 20 through 8:00 a.m.  Saturday, June 21 in Glenwood, IA. So what is an Intermediate Lock-Out? It is an adventure outside with activities planned for you as an intermediate 4-H Age member to participate in that will challenge you working in groups of intermediates. During your fun challenges you will discover tickets and treasure that will reward you with snacks, opportunities for fun and activities that will keep you up all night.

Region 17 4-H Table Setting Event
Join with other 4-H'ers in your county and across Region 17 to participate in this growing program where you will apply your communication, hospitality, planning and food and nutrition skills to plan an event around serving a meal for friends, family or both. Membership Materials:

To sucessfully complete a 4-H year, and be eligible for year-end awards, all East Pottawattamie 4-H members must complete the following:

  1. Enroll in 4-H.  All 4-H members and leaders now enroll via www.4hOnline.com, by May 15.  If re-enrolling, please use existing family account. New members should contact the East Pottawattamie Extension Office, or their 4-H leader prior to enrolling.
  2. Enroll in at least 1 project via www.4hOnline.com by May 15.
  3. Give at least 1 presentation at a club meeting - How to Give a Presentation
  4. Turn in a completed Record Book by the date determined by the county each fall.    4-H RECORD BOOK Information and Forms

  • Provides opportunities for youth to develop skills they can use now and throughout their life, empowering them to reach their full potential working and learning in partnership with caring adults.
