All-Iowa Hort Expo set for March 19 & 20, 2010

The Iowa State Horticultural Society (ISHS) will sponsor the All-Iowa Horticulture Exposition II (Expo) on March 19-20, 2010 at the Bridge View Center in Ottumwa. The ISHS will once again partner with Iowa State University Extension to coordinate the event. More information about the Expo appears on the Society’s website, www.iowahort.org.

Money Talk Course

Iowa State University Extension offers a distance education version of Money Talk, a financial program targeted to women. The five course modules will cover financial basics, insurance, investing, retirement planning, and planning for life events. Participants may enroll for a web-based or by-mail course. Next courses will be offered October 5 - November 6, 2009. The cost of $75 includes the 190-page Money Talk workbook. Registration deadline is October 1. To register using a credit card, go online (www.extension.iastate.edu/store) or call 515-294-5247. If you prefer to mail in a check use the Money Talk brochure (pdf).
