Objective:to provide educators with science resources that help improve student attitudes about science, math and technology. Standards in Physical Science, Forces and Motion and Chemistry are addressed. Gender equity techniques are explored.
Description: Participants explore gender equity issues and techniques and the experiential model of learning. Techniques for effective use of hands-on activities are modeled. Participants experience a variety of activities related to electricity, magnetism, air pressure, chemistry, density and math.
Audience: Grades 3-8
Length of workshop: 3 hours for grades 3-5 and/or 3 hours for grades 6-8
