A new documentary film, “Growing Cities,” tells the inspiring stories of intrepid urban farmers, innovators, and everyday city-dwellers who are challenging the way this country feeds itself. There will be a panel discussion after the movie with Dubuque leaders who are working on community gardens and agricultural innovation in our city. This event is FREE!

The Dubuque County Master Gardeners will be hosting a plant sale on Saturday, September 27th from 7am - 12pm at the Dubuque Farmers' Market. You'll find our booth in the PetMed parking lot at 12th and Iowa. We'll have home-grown perennials, flowers, fruit & vegetables, farm-fresh eggs, and more. We'll also have a FREE gardening craft for kids!

This hands-on workshop will present tips and techniques about fall gardening tasks, including splitting and transplanting perennials, aerating and fertilizing lawns, and planting trees.
