MASTER GARDENER ADVISORY MEETING

All Master Gardeners are invited to attend our first planning meeting for 2015! This is a great time to share ideas and plan events for the upcoming season.
Immediately following the meeting will be a tutorial of our website. Learn how to submit your hours, take the Service Survey, and more!
Remember, this meeting counts towards your Continuing Education volunteer service hours! So take advantage of this great opportunity to get to know what is ahead for 2015!

Master Gardeners, you are invited to bring your favorite dish and talents to the table as we share ideas and get to know our fellow Master Gardeners!
Activities will include a "Speed Dating" version of each Master Gardener Service Group where you will have a chance to ask questions and learn more about the services we provide and how to get involved!
We will also be doing a recipe swap, so bring your favorite recipe to share!

WINTER WEBINAR SERIES

How can Master Gardeners support local food systems? In 2015, we will be exploring this question as part of the Winter Webinar Series.
Webinar Topics Include:
Thursday, January 15 – Local Food Volunteers: Explore the local food system and ways that Master Gardeners can help. Master Gardener Coordinator Margaret Murphy will share stories from Northwest Iowa.
Thursday, February 12 – In the Community: Hear how Master Gardeners are teaching in community gardens and growing produce for food banks. Master Gardener Coordinator Jennifer Daugherty will highlight projects in Southeast Iowa.
Thursday, March 12 – Back to School: Learn how Master Gardeners are engaging in school gardens and supporting systems change for health. Hear examples from Master Gardener Coordinator Laurie Taylor in western Iowa.
This series DOES count towards your education hours!
