Dubuque County Extension Summer Intern 2013

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering curriculum for day programs with children ages 6-14.  Topics include: Gizmos & Gadgets, Babysitting, Food & Fitness, Robotics, Fun With Flight, CSI:Dubuque, Rockets Away, Navigating with GPS Units, etc.
  • Leading day-long programs for children each Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and prepping for programs on Wednesday.
  • Being present and ready to assist county staff at the Dubuque County Fair, July 23-28

Requirements:

  • Available for nine-weeks, June 3 to August 9
  • Reliable transportation
  • Past experience working with children and teens
  • Great people skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to adapt while leading programming
  • Some knowledge of 4-H
