The first of Master Gardener Interns have completed their training. They are ready to answer your questions during their weekly office hours (call 563-583-6496, Extension 19 to be connected or leave a message). For more information click here.
The volunteer Master Gardeners complete 40 hours of training and 40 hours of volunteer service. They volunteer at the Dubuque County Extension Office, answering questions for the general public. Also Interns provide other service projects throughout the county. Do you have an idea for a service project? Would you like to become a Master Gardener, too?
If you have a problem plant or bug, you may bring it to the office in an airtight container. Be prepared to provide information about the problem. A Master Gardener will contact you -- or for quicker results, call ahead to confirm someone will be in to assist you.

Master Gardener Hours
March -- Mondays 6-8 pm
April through September
Mondays 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Thursdays 1:00pm - 4:00pm
October -- Thursdays 1-4 pm
November through February
The hours will vary. You may call in advance and the office staff will provide you with the Master Gardener hours for that week or you may leave a message for the Master Gardeners. You may also drop off a sample at the front desk at any time between the hours of 9:00 to 4:00, Monday through THURSDAY. The Master Gardeners will answer your questions promptly within their weekly office hours.
