Class: Computer Basics for Seniors
3 Tuesdays: April 22, April 29 and May 6

Computers and tablets like iPads or Kindles can be wonderful tools for communicating with family, sharing photos, managing finances, locating information, and much more. This class will provide individualized, one-on-one mentoring for seniors who want to improve their computer skills. Each participant will be assigned a Loras College computer student who will assess his or her needs and develop an individualized learning plan to become better computer users. Possible areas of instruction include: using e-mail, basic word processing, social media, managing photos, information searches on the Internet, shopping and banking online. Participants are welcome to bring their own laptop or tablet to the class, or they can use one of the computers in the classroom. Stay connected – join our class!

*To park at Hoffmann Hall, turn onto Henion Street from Loras Boulevard, then turn left at Beckman Hall and continue to the Hoffmann Hall parking lot. Spaces will be reserved there for class participants. Hoffmann Hall is the building on Loras Blvd. with the clock tower. The site is also accessible by public transit.
