This year Dubuque County Extension youth staff is offering School's Out Day Programs for Western Dubuque non-school days at the Dubuque County Extension office to enjoy some hands on learning. Each session will consist of a full day of learning that runs from 8 am to 5 pm  with drop off between 7:30 and 8:00 am and pick up between 5:00 and 5:30 pm. Kids will stay all day and need to bring a sack lunch and drink.

Two-hour webinars are scheduled at the ISU Extension and Outreach Dubuque County office for January 26th, February 9th, and February 23rd.   Master Gardeners will gain educational hours while learning the realities of hunger in Iowa, the best way to work with food banks, food safety and more.

Ag & Conservation are generally seen in opposition to one another, with agriculture converting natural ecosystems to fields for human use, and conservation seeking to preserve natural ecosystems. Agroforestry attempts to break down this dichotomy, creating economically viable systems that provide important eco-services, such as pollinator habitat & carbon sequestration.

Iowa State University Extension is offering several ServSafe® classes for food service professionals. ServSafe® training will provide knowledge every food service provider must know about food hazards and proper food handling practices in order to keep food safe and protect the establishment against the costly nightmare of a foodborne-illness outbreak. Participants will learn ways of prevention, regulatory requirements, and how to improve food quality.
