Life is not about money, but how people manage their money impacts their quality of life, their family’s life and the life of their community. A course from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach provides the tools Iowans need to work toward financial goals. The course meets on three Thursdays: June 4, 11, and 18, 2015. All sessions are from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM at Prescott Community Resource Center, 1511 White Street, Dubuque, IA.  The course fee is $5 per session and pre-registration is required by May 29, 2015. To register, call 563-583-6496 and ask for Susan. There are scholarships available.

Dubuque, IOWA – Gardeners have the opportunity this summer to learn about theme gardens, planting trough gardens, water features and conservation, attracting butterflies and bees, and growing herbs. The Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Growing Season” webinar series will be offered at multiple locations across Iowa during June, July and August.

Each year during Extension and Outreach Week the Dubuque County Extension Council gives the Friend of Extension Award to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the Extension mission. Marvin Stoffel received the award this year to recognize the leadership he has provided to Master Gardener volunteers and the connections he has made between Master Gardeners and other Extension programs.
