It is designed to share out upcoming educational programs, as well as address the latest local questions, happenings, and helpful information for our communities. This edition includes Holiday Tips, as well as information on youth, families and agriculture program opportunities.
Join us Saturday, December 10th at 9:30 AM in the Extension Office and make your very own all seasons burlap wreath! These wreaths can be decorated for the Holidays, a hobby, or your favorite sports team. Do you have bobbers, antlers, bells, or bows you'd like to attach? Bring them along and we'll provide the rest. Wreath base, burlap,feathers, ribbon, and wires will be provided. Cost of the workshop is $10. Stop in or call to register by December 8th at (712) 336-3488. Workshop is for youth in 4th - 12th grades but adults are encouraged to attend.
ISU Extension and Dickinson County Public Health are sponsoring a training on Wednesday, December 28th from 8AM - 3PM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Milford. Youth ages ages 11-15 are encouraged to attend. Come learn how to be a trustworthy, responsible, caring, competent, and capable babysitter. Space is limited. Register by Dec. 27th. Cost is only $15. Looking for something for you and your friends to do over winter break? Check out our string art workshop on Thursday, December 29th from 1-4 PM at the Extension Office. Choose one of four winter designs, or make one of your own. Wood, nails and string provided. Cost is $5 per person. Pre-registration needed by December 27th to insure materials.
