Farm Bill Flyer w/dates and locations
October 23, 2014

Iowa farmers and landowners will learn about the new programs authorized by the Agricultural Act of 2014 (commonly referred to as the Farm Bill) at informational meetings conducted by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach and local USDA Farm Service Agency staff members. Farm Bill 2014 Meetings will be held across northwest Iowa to explain options available under the new bill. The meetings will focus on the Price Loss Coverage (PLC) and Agricultural Risk Coverage (ARC) that will be administered by USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA), and the Supplemental Coverage Option (SCO) administered by the USDA Risk Management Agency through federal crop insurance providers.

Attention Youth...want to learn more about dairy cattle? Join us for a workshop on Saturday, October 25th from 9:30 a.m. - noon at the Summit Dairy Farm near Primghar.  The event is FREE and lunch is provided. All registrants receive coursework prior to the event to use for discussion and learning. Check out the Youth Dairy Challenge Flier for details.
