ISU Extension and Outreach - Dickinson County is offering a food safety training for food service Managers. Certification in ServSafe meets the Iow Food Code requirements to have a certified food protection manager in all establishments. This 8-hour program aims to train food service professional about food safety requirements and best practices to meet them. ISU Extension and Outreach in Dickinson County is partnering with the Iowa DNR Bureau of Foresty and Alliant Energy to offer residential utility customers  the opportunity to purchase landscape trees at discount prices. The program is designed to help customers save energy by planting trees to shade their homes or to create a wind break; provide low-cost, high-quality and diverse landscape trees from local nurseries.; and to promote long-term community reforestation and energy conservation through efficient landscaping. The Tree Order Form provides details on the species available, costs, and delivery date.

Looking for ideas to improve child care in your center or home? The Better Kid Care Series is educational programming for local child care providers that can do just that. The series is group-based, hands-on and a ton of fun! Join us for all of the fall classes or just one.  We're exploring topics of  "Science for Young Thinkers", "Keeping Children Healthy & Safe", and "Building Good Consumers".
