ISU Extension and Outreach - Dickinson County is offering a food safety training for food service Managers. Certification in ServSafe meets the Iow Food Code requirements to have a certified food protection manager in all establishments. This 8-hour program aims to train food service professional about food safety requirements and best practices to meet them. ISU Extension and Outreach in Dickinson County is partnering with the Iowa DNR Bureau of Foresty and Alliant Energy to offer residential utility customers  the opportunity to purchase landscape trees at discount prices. The program is designed to help customers save energy by planting trees to shade their homes or to create a wind break; provide low-cost, high-quality and diverse landscape trees from local nurseries.; and to promote long-term community reforestation and energy conservation through efficient landscaping. The Tree Order Form provides details on the species available, costs, and delivery date.

Increase your child's school readiness skills with these FREE Family Storyteller Workshops!  ISU-Dickinson County Extension is partnering with the Lake Park Library and the Harris-Lake Park Schools to provide fun nights for preschool age children and their families to spend time together in literacy activities. The program is FREE and includes refreshments, childcare, and take home books & activity packets. Program dates are Thursday nights in April from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Check out the Family Storyteller Brochure for details or call the Extension Office at 712-336-3488.
