ISU Extension and Outreach in Dickinson County is partnering with the Iowa DNR Bureau of Foresty and Alliant Energy to offer residential utility customers  the opportunity to purchase landscape trees at discount prices. The program is designed to help customers save energy by planting trees to shade their homes or to create a wind break; provide low-cost, high-quality and diverse landscape trees from local nurseries.; and to promote long-term community reforestation and energy conservation through efficient landscaping. The Tree Order Form provides details on the species available, costs, and delivery date.

Bah,Ram, Ewe,.. we have an afternoon of discovery in store for you from 1-3 pm at the Fairgrounds Indoor Show Arena. Sheep and Goat committee members will help participants learn about basic anatomy, breeds and characteristics, care and handling, animal identification, animal behavior and health, nutrition, housing and equipment, and much more! There are lots of hands-on activities for youth to learn more about sheep and goat projects. This workshop counta as FSQA training. Call now to register. 712-336-3488.

They want to help youth and families learn about basic swine anatomy, breed and characteristics, care and handling, animal identification, animal behavior, health and nutrition, housing and equipment, and much more!
