Whoa!!!  Mark your calendars. The horse project committee has set up the summer practice schedule in preparation for the Dickinson County Fair. All practices will be from 6:30 - 8:30 pm in the outdoor arena at the fairgrounds. Dates are May 31, June 4, 8, 11, 15, 18, 22, 25, 29, and July 9, 13. Read on for details.

The summer dog obedience classes have been scheduled in the Expo Center from 5:30 - 6:15 pm on Monday and Wednesday nights....May 18, June1, 3 ,8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, July 1, 6. We will practice obedience, handling, and agility.

Cyclone Summer Camp Season is ready to start!  Check out our new Summer Program Booklet for camp topics, dates, and times. We're welding, glassmaking, painting, building giant cells, extracting DNA, programming lego robots, doing CSI investigations, exploring design, training babysitters, crashing egg cars, making marshmallow catapults, messing with muffins, shopping with a $15 challenge, searching talents, exploring the outdoors, extending our pet knowledge, and taking a culinary challenge. ISU Extension and Outreach in Dickinson County is partnering with the Iowa DNR Bureau of Foresty and Alliant Energy to offer residential utility customers  the opportunity to purchase landscape trees at discount prices. The program is designed to help customers save energy by planting trees to shade their homes or to create a wind break; provide low-cost, high-quality and diverse landscape trees from local nurseries.; and to promote long-term community reforestation and energy conservation through efficient landscaping. The Tree Order Form provides details on the species available, costs, and delivery date.
