The "Better Kid Care" Workshops assist childcare providers in obtaining research-based professional development. We are offering 4 Tuesday night workshops December - March at the Extension Office in Spirit Lake. Topics include: Science for Young Thinkers, Math For Every Age, Art Appreciation, and What Does Time Mean to Children. Each of these trainings provides 2 CEU's. Interested in learning to make wise investing decisions? Consider signing up for investment education courses focused on your stage in life. The Smart Investing series incorporates face-to-face “kick-off” and “wrap-up” sessions taught by ISU Extension family finance program specialist, Jan Monahan, at the Spirit Lake Public Library. In between these two sessions, participants work at their own pace to complete one of the online courses.
