Any 4-Her planning to show a horse at the county fair must do the following: 

· Identify their horse at the Extension office by

             May 15, 2008.

·  Watch the video “Every Time, Every Ride” at the extension office before the mandatory meeting.

· Attend the mandatory horse meeting held at SCC on May 19th where you will learn about grooming, equipment, judging and confirmation.  A Veterinarian will also talk about caring for your animal.  This session will begin at 6:30 P.M. Please do not bring your horse to this meeting.

· 4-Hers also must then attend at least 2 horse sessions with their horse and actively participate in the session.  Attendance at every session is recommended to be better prepared to present at the county fair.

Sessions will be held at SCC at 7:00 P.M. and the schedule is as follows: 

June 3rd Halter & Showmanship

June 10th Drill Team will meet at the Extension Office

June 17th Western Pleasure & Equitation

June 24th Barrels & Poles

July 1st Trail & Flags

July 8th  Reining & English Pleasure

July 15th Vet Check & Ranch Horse Pleasure

July 18th  Drill Team only 6:00 - 9:30 P.M.
