The first case of avian influenza in Iowa has been confirmed this week. ISU's Vet Diagnostic Lab has provided information and fact sheets on the disease and instructions for submitting samples.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach announces Becky Luers as the new Community Development Specialist in Des Moines County. Becky began this new position on February 23, 2015.

Southeast Iowa youth had the opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering, and math by attending the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach STEM Trip to Ames March 12, 2015. Fifty-one sixth through eighth graders in Des Moines, Henry, Lee, and Louisa counties took advantage of this wonderful opportunity.
