Extension in Des Moines County offers programs that support families, horticulture, 4-H youth development, business and industry, communities, agriculture and continuing education. Iowa State University Extension builds partnerships and provides research-based learning opportunities to improve the quality of life in Iowa.


 
We want to promote volunteerism in Des Moines County through our Volunteer NOW! Program. Volunteers can find local non-profits in need of volunteers and pledge their hours. Iowa State University Extension & Outreach is excited to host Ricochet Facilitator Training. Ricochet is a leadership education program targeted for middle school youth to develop and enhance leadership skills. Ricochet can be structured in many ways, ranging from multiple 45 minute sessions to a six hour session.
