Iowa State University Extension and Outreach announces Becky Luers as the new Community Development Specialist in Des Moines County. Becky began this new position on February 23, 2015.

Southeast Iowa youth had the opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering, and math by attending the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach STEM Trip to Ames March 12, 2015. Fifty-one sixth through eighth graders in Des Moines, Henry, Lee, and Louisa counties took advantage of this wonderful opportunity.

ServSafe food safety training program is an 8-hour training to help food service managers and employees meet the resaurant industry standards and obligations to consumers. The upcoming class will be held Wednesday, February 11, April 15 and June 18, 2015 at Great Prairie AEA in Burlington.
