ServSafe food safety training program is an 8-hour training to help food service managers and employees meet the resaurant industry standards and obligations to consumers. The upcoming class will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Great Prairie AEA in Burlington.

The Des Moines County Extension Office of Iowa State University Extension is offering a food safety training class for food service workers and others interested in the basics of serving safe food. The next class is Wednesday, January 21,2015 from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm at the Great Prairie AEA building, 3601 West Avenue, Burlington.

March 18, 2014  Des Moines County Extension celebrated it's 100th birthday with the county board of supervisors signing a proclamation observing the achievement.  Local papers are  running a monthly series on the history of Des Moines County Extension by decades.

Enjoy a delicious supper and a live auction. You will have a chance to support 4-H while bidding on items the 4-H clubs have donated.
