LOCAL INITIATIVES

VOLUNTEER NOW

We want to promote volunteerism in Des Moines County through our Volunteer NOW! Program. Volunteers can find local non-profits in need of volunteers and pledge their hours. Click on the logo to get more information and download a pledge form! Organizations can also sign up to be included in our list of area non-profits.

SHARE THE HARVEST

Providing excess garden produce to area food pantries prevents food waste while providing fresh, nutritious food to families experiencing food insecurity. Share the Harvest is a guide to make donating produce or volunteering time easier for local gardeners in Southeast Iowa.
