Private Pesticide Applicator Training Set For Delaware County
According to Iowa Code, a certified private applicator uses or supervises the use of any pesticide which is classified for restricted use on property owned or rented by the applicator or the applicator's employer or, if applied without compensation other than trading of personal services between producers of agricultural commodities, on the property of another person.
To become certified initially, applicators must take the exam offered by the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS). The local test date and location will be March 8, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Delaware County Community Center, Fairgrounds, Manchester. A study guide (PAT 1) is available for purchase online at https://store.extension.iastate.edu/Product/Private-Pesticide-Applicator-Study-Guide-Previously-known-as-PAT-0001 or at the Delaware County Extension Office, 1417 N. Franklin, Manchester. Other testing dates and locations are available at: www.iowaagriculture.gov/Pesticide/pesticidetesting.asp

The final Private Pesticide Applicator CICs for Delaware County will be offered on Thursday, February 25 at 9:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. at the Delaware County Community Center, Manchester.
