Delaware County 4-H members participated in the $15 Challenge Workshop on Saturday, March 12, held in Hopkinton.  The workshop was focused on the $15 Challenge Project in which 4-Her’s purchase outfits at a garage sale, consignment store, or resale shop for under $15.

The 2016 Iowa Farm Custom Rate Survey is now available. The publication provides rates for custom work in tillage, planting, drilling and seeding, fertilizer application, harvesting, drying and hauling grain, harvesting forages, complete custom farming, labor and both bin and machine rental.

Each year the Delaware County Master Gardener’s hold an educational lecture series “Monday’s in March”.  These talks are designed to both educate and entertain anyone interested in gardening and growing.  All programs are held at 7:00 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 116 Guetzko Court in Manchester.  The series this year will celebrate the twenty-second year of the project and promises to be filled with a lot of great information, instruction, and fun.  The first lecture will be held on Monday, March 7, and will continue each Monday throughout the month with a different topic and speaker each night.  All of the programs start at 7 pm at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Manchester. The public is invited, with a $2 donation taken at the door.
