Iowa 4-H Youth Conference

Every June, over 1000 teenagers converge on the campus of Iowa State University for 3 days full of speakers, workshops, mixers, dances, a banquet, and community service activities.

If you've completed 8th grade, you're eligible to attend. You don't even have to be in 4-H to attend this conference! You will get to experience campus life, and meet new people from across the state! You will be having fun while learning by doing, dancing the nights away, and serving the community. You will get to learn new things to take back to your community and school, and in the process you might even discover something new about yourself! There are opportunities for you to share your talents with the rest of the delegation through small group discussion, the Conference Chorus, and a Talent Show!

If you have a specific interest in animal science, you might want to look into becoming part of the ROUND-UP track!  We'll also have a special track devoted to agronomy, called CSI: Crops.

If you'd like to be part of the team to capture the Conference in photos, join our Iowa 4-H Youth Camera Corps by signing up for workshops T-40, W-40, and R-40 and bring your camera.  We're doing things a little differently this year and you'll get to learn photo skills and put them to work through the workshop series.

Please join us in June for the most incredible three days of your life at the Iowa 4-H Youth Conference!

Delegate registration costs are $175 per person. (*** Dallas County 4-H'ers are eligible for financial support if they wish to attend). This covers 2 nights of lodging, 7 meals, 3 keynote speakers, transportation for workshops and community service, facility rental, 2 dances, and a t-shirt, among other supports and services.  And, when you think about the people you’ll meet and the memories you’ll make, it’s priceless! This regular registration cost is only good through this Friday, May 30 so if you’ve been thinking about it, but haven’t registered yet, please don’t miss the deadline for the lower rate. Registrations coming in from Saturday, May 31 through Tuesday, June 10 will be accepted at a late registration fee rate of $200 so if you miss the first deadline it’s still not too late.
