Let's Play!

Kids need to know they have an influence on the quality of their life. Teaching healthy habits early in life gives kids a sense of control and self-confidence. Dads do this by having fun playing with their children.

Work-out Together
Get your kids off the couch and outside for a pick-up game of basketball. Sweat a little together. Use smart body moves like stretching before and after strenuous activity. Study up on what’s good for your body before, during and after exercise.

Use Your Head
Kids who see their Dads wear helmets are more likely to wear theirs! Dads set good examples by following safety practices like buckling up in the car and wearing protective gear for sports activities.

  • Dig out all the bicycle helmets in the garage and do a family fitting session.
  • Discard any that have been in a crash, are cracked or broken or do not fit anymore.
  • Learn how to fit a helmet properly.
  • Take time tonight to make all of the adjustments so your next outing will be a safe one.

Playgrounds
Each year 200,000 children are injured on playgrounds. Grab a ruler and tape measure and do a safety check on your favorite playground.
