| Let's Play!
Fall is a great opportunity to get outside and have some fun before
it gets too cold to enjoy the outdoors. Here are some ideas of things
you can do before the snow falls.
- Rake leaves into big piles and play in them.
Fall in them, roll in them or throw them at each other.
- Put leaves into white garbage bags and draw
silly faces on them for Halloween.
- Watch the flying geese. Notice the pattern
they fly in and how they take turns being the leader.
- Go camping in your backyard.
- Put your bare feet in the grass and talk
about how it feels. Soft, scratchy, or maybe it tickles.
- Go to the park and swing with your child.
- Observe the moon and stars. Try to find
the constellations. Learn their names. Make up your own names.
- Choose a color of fall and make that your
color for the day. Wear that color and point out other things
that are the same color.
Most importantly, have fun spending your time together. Children
grow up in a blink.
