Iowa CYFAR project staff chose to utilize portfolio evaluation in addition to other evaluation methods to capture a more complete picture of the state and community-based projects.
CYFERnet's Evaluation section includes practical tools for evaluating community-based programs; information on how community programs can be sustained; and assessments of organizational support for work in the areas of children, youth, and families.

The Guide
has been revised and updated to reflect changes within the CYFAR Program
and CYFERnet. The revised edition includes various web sites to assist
users in evaluation of their community-based programs. In addition,
a new evaluation template has been incorporated.

Network for Collaboration
The information presented here utilizes the knowledge and expertise
of specialists from the National Network for Collaboration to provide
a guide to begin, strengthen and sustain the collaborative journey,
for the building and sustaining of positive change.
Community Toolbox
The Tool Box, from the University of Kansas, provides over 6,000 pages of practical skill-building information
on over 250 different topics. Topic sections include step-by-step instruction,
examples, check-lists, and related resources.
University
of Wisconsin
Evaluation publications from the University of Wisconsin are currently
available for evaluating Extension programs. They are practical, easy-to-use
guides designed to help Extension faculty better plan and implement
credible and useful evaluations. They also may be useful to agencies
or funders who are seeking assistance with realistic evaluation strategies.

Way of America Outcome Measurement Resource Network
The Resource Network offers information, downloadable documents, and
links to resources related to the identification and measurement of
program- and community-level outcomes. All the United Way of America
outcomes measurement publications are available to the public.

Families and Work Institute Community
Families and Work Institute (FWI) is a nonprofit center for research
that provides data to inform decision-making on the changing workforce,
changing family and changing community.
The Evaluation Exchange
The Evaluation Exchange, from the Harvard Family Research Project, is a quarterly periodical on new lessons and emerging strategies for evaluating programs and policies, particularly those focused on children, families, and communities. Since it was launched over 10 years ago, The Evaluation Exchange has become an internationally known and significant force in helping to shape evaluation knowledge and practice.

association of evaluators devoted to the application and exploration
of program evaluation, personnel evaluation, technology, and many other
forms of evaluation.
