Course Description: FN406 Financing Options and Economic Development
The primary purpose of the session will be to introduce participants to a wide variety of state statutes, which govern the ways in which cities may borrow money to finance various projects. A secondary focus will be on federal laws and regulations, which determine whether or not the interest income from bonds or other debt issued by a city, will be exempt from federal income taxation
