Iowa Certified County Recorder Program
Mission Statement:
The mission of the Iowa Certified Recorder Program is to provide educational training designed to improve and enhance the management skills, knowledge and professionalism of Iowa County Recorders, further enabling them to fulfill their elected duties and better serve their community.
Qualifications:
- The “Certified Recorder” status is limited to a duly elected or appointed county recorder of the State of Iowa in “good standing” with the ICRA. Good standing is defined as having paid all Schools of Instruction registration fees and Research and Education Assessments.
- “Certified Deputy Recorder” status to be limited to a Deputy in the Recorder’s Office of the State of Iowa in “good standing” with the ICRA. Permission of the County Recorder of the County in which the individual is employed is a requirement to attend.
- The Deputy is only eligible to receive the “Deputy Recorder” status. Upon successful election as Record a certified deputy may maintain their certification status.
- The County Recorder or Deputy must earn 30 credit hours of which 21 credit hours must be awarded through the Core Courses as offered by the program.
- All fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
