May 5, 2015

Equine Fever had three teams that traveled to Ellsworth College.  The senior team which consisted of Morgan McGarry, Montanna Krogman, Kayleigh Slapnicka, and Faith Ciesielski.  Morgan McGarry placed second individual and Montanna Krogman placed seventh individual overall in hippology. The second senior team consisted of Baylee Anderson, Skylar Bloom and Makaila Moore.  The junior team which consisted of Ciera Krogman, Samantha Zeimet, Taciana Bilek, and Allyse Marx placed 3rdteam overall.  Taciana Bilek was 6thplace individual overall.

The Master Gardeners of Clinton County are providing the public with an opportunity to visit public and private gardens Sunday, June 28th, 12 pm till 4 pm. Tickets are available for purchase for $5 at the Clinton County Extensio Office and at each garden during the walk. Garden List.

A variety of perennials, annuals, houseplants, vegetables, and herbs will be available for sale at both locations:

Clinton: Lyons 4 Square Park, Main Ave & Roosevelt St. Saturday 10 am till 5pm, Sunday 10 am till 4 pm.

DeWitt: Clinton County Fairgrounds, 328 East 8th St. Saturday 9 am till 2 pm, Sunday 9 am till 12 noon. In DeWitt, there will also be a garden "treasure" sale: both gently used and new decorative pots and planters, garden art, garden tools, and other unique garden items.

4-H Junior Camp will take plact at Camp Shalom in Maquoketa June 12 & 13. Campers will take take part in canoeing and low ropes, swimming, educational activities, and a tour of the Maquoketa Caves. This overnight camping experience includes meals and snacks. Complete the registration form and return to the Extension Office. Financial assistance is available.
