4-H'ers and Clover Kids, it's time to turn in all fair forms for county and state fair!

  • All Clinton County Fair livestock entry forms are due in to the extension office by June 24, 2013.
  • State Fair entries are due in 4hOnline by July 1, 2013.
  • Clover Kids, remember to submit to the extension office: your pet show intent to participate form and your bucket bottle I.D. form by June 24! You will find the forms at http://www.extension.iastate.edu/clinton/page/projects, under: Bucket Bottle Calf and Pet Show. 
  • The Iowa State Fair premium book and pre-order admission ticket request form for families must be submitted by July 10 and are located at http://www.extension.iastate.edu/4h/statefair/livestock.

The community garden, located at the corner of 13th Avenue North and North 14th Street, was tilled Wednesday for the planting season. Kelli Jahn, the youth and family educator for the Iowa State University extension and outreach office, said the community garden was started by the ISU Extension, Sisters of St. Francis and the Clinton Recreation Department to bring area gardeners together and promote good nutrition.
