11/08/2009- 4H County Wide Fire Up Meeting
The 2009 County Wide Fire-Up Meeting will take place on November 8th at the DeWitt High School Gymnasium (NOTE THE CHANGE OF VENUE). The Fire-Up Meeting will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. We will be having make-it-take-it tables, games, and much more. Record book awards and project awards will be handed out at this event. There will be time for all

11/18/2009- Commercial Ag Weed, Insect, and Plant Disease Management Continuing Instructional Course
This course is designed for certified commercial pesticide applicators needing yearly certification credits in the following categories: 1A: Weed Control, 1B: Insect Control, 1C: Disease Control, 10: Demonstration and Research. Cost is $35.00 if registered before 11/11/09, $45.00 after 11/11/09.

12/01/2009- Fumigation Continuing Instructional Course
This course is designed for certified commercial pesticide applicators needing yearly certification credits in the following categories: 7C: Fumigation, 10: Demonstration and Research. Cost is $35.00 if registered before 11/24/09, $45.00 after 11/24/09.

12/02/2009- Pest Control Operators Continuing Instructional Course
This course is designed for certified commercial pesticide applicators needing yearly certification credits in the following categories: 7A: General and Household Pest Control, 7B: Termite Control, 8: Public Health Pest Control, 10: Demonstration and Research. Cost is $60.00 if registered before 11/25/09, $70.00 after 11/25/09.

12/09/2009- Child Care Center: New Staff Orientation Training
Center directors/assistant directors will be introduced to a professional development series for new staff that provides a basic overview of important aspects of working in a child care center. 01/12/2010- Confinement Site Manure Applicator Training
Confinement site (private) manure applicator certification. Continuing education to maintain or begin certification as a confinement site manure applicator in Iowa. By attending the workshop, participants will learn about land application rules, manure agitation safety, and nutrient management issues.
