Clayton County 4-H'ers Participate in Livestock Showmanship Contests at Iowa State Fair

Fourteen Clayton County 4-H members partipcapted in showmanship contests at the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines. Kaitlyn Olson, a member of the Monona Jr. Feeders 4-H Club received a purple ribbon for her outstanding ability in the sheep show ring.  Others from Clayton County all received blue ribbons.
 
"Most shows evaluate the animals, but the showmanship award reflects the 4-H member's ability to prepare and exhibit the animal in the show ring," said Tammy Muller, Clayton County 4-H & Youth Program Coordinator.
