The Clayton County 4-H Omelet Brunch & Silent Auction was held Sunday, March 11 at Johnson's Reception Hall in Elkader. This annual event is a fundraiser for the county 4-H & Youth program. 785 omelets were prepared by the members of the 4-H County Council. 4-H Green Team members helped by serving beverages, muffins, fruit and toast. The Extension 4-H & Youth Committee also held a silent auction. Proceeds from the auction help pay the state 4-H youth development fee and fund county youth events. 4-H clubs, families and individuals donated items for the silent auction. These two events raised over $6000 for the youth program.
