Hiii Yah!  Join us for Action Movie Day Camp on January 16 from 9-4 at Central School.  Learn video editing, sound effects recording and stage combat.  Deadline is Jan 5.  $10 per student or $5 for 4-H enrolled member. Camp Form

December 12, 2014

Clayton County 4-H and FFA members planning to exhibit market beef projects during 2015 need to have their animals weighed and ear tagged to make them eligible for competition according to Tammy Muller, County 4-H & Youth Program Coordinator. The weigh-in will take place on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at the Edgewood Livestock Commission in Edgewood from 8:30 – 11:30 AM. This will also be a site for state fair qualifying animals to be retinal imaged.

Human Sciences Extension and Outreach has 3 full time open positions including a Family Finance position open in NE Iowa (Region 4).  The deadline for submission is January 18, 2015.

Iowa dairy producers have the opportunity to learn about emerging dairy industry issues at the 2015 ISU Extension Dairy Days hosted by Iowa State University Extension specialists. The program is scheduled at seven eastern Iowa locations between Jan. 20 and Feb. 6.

Central students have been transforming Lego kits into robots that they’ve programmed to complete specific tasks. Their efforts are part of the FIRST Lego League competition, an event that uses STEM concepts to address real-world problems in a creative, innovative and fun way.  Central's program is co-sponsored by ISU Extension and Clayton County 4-H.
