School teachers, youth organization leaders, informal education professionals, county and regional extension programs, and other organizations delivering STEM educational programs can apply to bring one or more of the nine specially selected programs into a club or classroom during 2013-14.

February 14, 2013

Clayton County Extension & Outreach will be offering a fitness program for older adults beginning March 1 at the St. Mark’s Parish Center in Edgewood. The program will be held on Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:30 -4:30 pm. The Living (well through) Intergenerational Fitness and Exercise (LIFE) Program  introduces older adults to exergaming, video games that integrate game play with physical activity. Younger adults (age 16 and older) serve as LIFE trainers for the older adult participants.

Families with low to moderate earned income can save by having their taxes prepared by certified, volunteer tax preparers. This free service is provided in Waukon, Postville, Cresco, and Decorah. .
