Gear Tech I and II offer STEM opportunities to 4-Hers

ISU Extension and Outreach - Clay County hosted two week-long Robotics SpIn Events, Gear Tech I and also Gear Tech II.  These two camps focused on robotics, GPS and GIS for area youth in grades 4-9.  The Gear Tech I and II Programs are through the Iowa 4-H Youth Development Program and have been instrumental in developing the 4-H STEM Project Area in Clay County.   The youth participants in these programs learned how to think critically, gained experience with problem solving and learned science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) skills by building robots and byworking with GPS and GIS systems.
