We are excited to announce a new option for completing enrollment for the 2011 4-H year, 4-H Online. The 4-H Online program makes it possible for you to enroll in 4-H from the convenience of your home, all you will need is your family email address. You may use one of the computers available at the Clay County Extension Office from Monday-Friday 8-4:30 or use a public computer available in most libraries.

Parent-Child Cell Phone Debate Continues

Parents can exert a measure of control over their child’s mobile phone use by limiting use, checking its contents and using it to monitor the whereabouts of their offspring. However, with a few exceptions, these activities by parents do not seem to impact patterns of cell phone use by teens, according to Iowa State University Extension and Outreach family life specialists.
