
The quality assurance program is designed to help 4-H animal and livestock project members understand their part in the production chain and ultimately produce a quality and safe food product.

Certification options

attend a training every year (training certification is good for one year)

test out (test out certification is good until age 15)

Adults 19 and older must obtain certification through adult PQA or BQA training programs. Contact your veterinarian or commodity organization for more information.

All Clay County FSQA trainings will be held at the 4-H Auditorium in the 4-H Exhibit Building on the Clay County Fairgrounds, Spencer. Pre-registration is required.

Test out Option
Clay County 4-H members may set up appointments to take the FSQA test at the Clay County Extension Office. Simply call 262-2264 or email kday@iastate.edu to set up an appointment.
