Iowa State University has completed their spring survey of subsoil moisture in northwest Iowa, says Paul Kassel, ISU Extension Field Agronomist located in Spencer.  Subsoil moisture levels are checked in the spring in many northwest Iowa counties.

Clay County 4-H is seeking nominations for the 2015 Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame Inductee.

ISU Extension Clay County will be hosting a free workshop to area businesses interested in selling their goods or services to city, county, state or federal government agencies.  This one-hour event will cover how to locate a Government Contracting Specialist through CIRAS, Iowa State University Extension and Outreach’s Center for Industrial Research and Service, and how they can help you through this process.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach - Clay County 4-H Youth Development Program partnered with Amanda Bare, Clay County 4-H Committee Member and Club Leader by bringing an afternoon of knitting and of counted cross stitch to the area youth.

In order to exhibit beef, swine, sheep, meat goat, poultry or rabbit at the Clay County Fair, youth MUST have up-to-date FSQA training or testing.  4th through 6th grade youth must attend training each year and youth 7th grade and older must attend one of the scheduled testing days.
