On Wednesday, November 25th Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will offer a free workshop in Spencer.   Smart Choice: Health Insurance is designed to help you understand your options and make the best decisions for your situation.   The workshop will be held from 12-1 p.m. in the Maple Conference Room at the Spencer Hospital.  Lunch will not be provided, but you are welcome to eat during the presentation if you are attending on your lunch break.

Registration is now full for all area 4th – 8th grade students to attend “Fall STEM Fest 2015” hosted by Northwest Iowa Community College and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach 4H and Youth Programs. Fall STEM Fest is on Saturday, Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

You may apply for up to two of the Special Awards.  Attach a 500 word essay for each award you are applying for.  There are guidelines to follow under each award description. You may apply for and win each award more than once except the “I Dare You” award.  SUBMIT TO CLUB LEADER OR OFFICE BY DECEMBER 1.If turned in after December 1, 1 point will be deducted from your total points for each award.
